The difference between rack, barrel, continuous and brush plating

Electroplating is divided into rack plating, barrel plating, continuous plating and brush plating, etc, mainly related to the size and quantity of parts to be plated.

Rack plating is to clamp the patrs on the hanger, suitable for large parts, the number of products that can be plated in each batch is small, and the thickness of the plating layer is more than 10μm. Such as car bumper, bicycle handlebars, etc. Rack plating production line can be divided into manual line, automatic line.

Continuous plating is suitable for batch production of wire and strip.

Brush plating is suitable for local plating or repair.

Barrel plating is to put the parts into the drum, suitable for small parts, the number of each drum is large, and the thickness of the plating layer is less than 10μm. According to the different use of drum, the common barrel plating methods in electroplating production are divided into three categories: horizontal barrel plating, inclined barrel plating and vibration barrel plating.
